35th Annual Sculpture in the Garden

*The event has already taken place on this date: Sun, 12/03/2023
This autumn marks the 35th annual Sculpture in the Garden exhibit, a show that brings the work of local artists to the native plant landscapes of the North Carolina Botanical Garden. From a giant steel scorpion to small ceramic mushroom creatures, there’s a huge variety in the show: this year will feature over 80 works by 58 artists! You can enjoy Sculpture in the Garden by taking a self-guided tour using the show program and interpretive signs, which label each sculpture and share a statement from the artist. We’ll also have a sculpture scavenger hunt available for kids of all ages. It’s free to visit during normal Garden hours — donations are welcome to support the show.

Please help us keep this calendar up to date! If this activity is sold out, canceled, or otherwise needs alteration, email mindy@kidsoutandabout.com so we can update it immediately. If you have a question about the activity itself, please contact the organization administrator listed below.
  • Stop by the Sara Waitt Breezeway through November 17 to vote for your favorite to win a People’s Choice Award!

  • Sculptures in the show will be for sale in our Garden Shop unless marked otherwise, but all remain on site through the end of the exhibit.
