Alpaca Farm Day
*The event has already taken place on this date: Sat, 09/23/2017
Learn about the care and handling of alpacas from local alpaca farmers. Feed an alpaca or two! There will be raw fleece on display to touch; you’ll see why alpaca is called a luxury fiber. Meet the chickens of Perry Farm Alpacas: over 20 breeds plus a couple of chicks born on the farm. The eggs they produce are truly free range and come in every color that chickens can make. Say hello the farm protectors, two Anatolian Shepherd Dogs. They live with the flock and the herd, keeping every member safe from the many predators in the area.
