Learn about birds in your backyard and become citizen scientists during this Bird Box Car and Monitoring first-time program. Take a walk with DPR’s Outdoor Recreation and Education staff to see example nest boxes and learn how to monitor through Project NestWatch. Participants will also take home some tips for maintaining a bird nest box for optimum bird health. Outdoor Recreation and Education will also share how to join in the Great Backyard Bird Count happening from February 14-17, 2025. Preregistration is required for all participants. Age 12 and up.
