Celebrate the Annual UN Holiday for Planet Earth at the Animal Park

Please help us keep this calendar up to date! If this activity is sold out, canceled, or otherwise needs alteration, email mindy@kidsoutandabout.com so we can update it immediately. If you have a question about the activity itself, please contact the organization administrator listed below.

For our Earth Day celebration, the Animal Park is hosting tours with an emphasis on conservation practices that visitors can easily learn to do at home or in their everyday lives!

Signage throughout the park will help guests learn about species-specific conservation efforts. We will also have guided nature trail walks where guests will have the opportunity to learn about native flora and fauna and the efforts they can make to conserve and support local environments.

With over two miles of walking trails throughout the beautifully forested acreage of the Animal Park now available, there are installed balance beams and a variety of informational signage and fact stations posted along the paths that will be sure to help you fall in love with North Carolina wilderness and wildlife. (We do recommend wearing some decent footwear to our Park, but especially for the Nature Trails.)

Visit our In-Kind Donation Wishlist on animalparknc.org or consider bringing a donation with you to the Animal Park! We accept donations of cardboard boxes, newspapers, old fleece blankets, towels, and much more.
