Bring your picnic, lawn chairs and blankets for five FREE evenings of live music on the lawn!

Public parking is available and free in downtown Carrboro. 2026 lineup - May 15: Brenda Evans, Gail Ceasar, Kelley Breiding May 22: Da Funky Leroy Harper Jr. All Starz, Lynn Grissett May 29: David Childers, Lightnin' Wells June 5: Dedicated Men of Zion, Faith & Harmony June 12: Orquesta K'Che This concert series honors Elizabeth “Libba” Cotten’s legacy in the world of roots music by emphasizing the cultural diversity, complexity, and vitality of her music and the music of many other artists local to her community and all over the country. Freight Train Blues is made possible with support from The Forests at Duke, North Carolina Public Radio – WUNC, and the North Carolina Arts Council.
