Firefly Farm - Hillsborough, NC

Firefly Farm is an extraordinary place … a sprawling 26 acres of rolling hills, friendly animals, beautiful flowers (and more flowers), and the highest quality fruits, vegetables, and a nut or two, grown using sustainable farming methods.  The Farm’s pasture-raised hens supply tasty and nutritious fresh eggs. 

Firefly Farm is also a welcoming place. Part of the Firefly Farm experience includes farmer-guided tours and private group tours.  Owner and resident farmer, Cindy Stubbs, (sought-after veterinary specialist), is acutely aware of the needs of her customers. She has brought today’s technology to the whole farm experience allowing customers to shop online and safely pick up at Firefly Farm. The U-pick flower experience is also self-guided, though employees are available to help as needed.

Firefly Farm is a happy place, as evidenced by countless numbers of children and adults who flock there each season. During spring and summer, farm visitors stroll through row after row of vibrant blooms and leave with armloads of fresh flowers they’ve picked themselves.  There’s always the opportunity to visit with the Firefly Farm animals, which include horses, donkeys, goats, chickens and any other assorted friends who may have joined the menagerie. They come to enjoy farm experiences such as Fireflies on the Farm, flower arranging workshops, farm tours, and The Witch’s Haunted Barn in October, catching a glimpse of the witch herself! Bring a picnic and enjoy some time on the farm.

In addition to the barn: See the horses, donkeys, goats and chickens. Spend time walking around the farm on our trails - the Pond Walk and Pasture walk and the labyrinth are open!
