The Magnum family called West Point home for years, and their oldest son, Hugh, photographed the area for many of them. Join us as we celebrate Hugh’s 148th birthday, June 3rd, with a visit to some of the locations he captured through his camera lens. And while learning about Hugh Mangum’s life and career, you will also hear from one of our trained historians about life in the Gilded Age and the development of Durham during Hugh’s life from sleepy hamlet to industrial powerhouse.
Registration is required for this program. Dogs are not permitted as we will be going in and out of our buildings.
