A Sunday Winter hike covering history, geology, and scenery along the Eno River. This includes a long walk along the river as well as up some long hill climbs through beautiful old hardwood forest. The hike along the river includes climbing over rock outcrops of moderate difficulty. A hiking staff is recommended. This hike will take approximately two hours (sometimes less, sometimes more). Please feel free to bring water and snacks. Wear comfortable, weather appropriate clothing and shoes. Well-behaved dogs are welcome as long as they are under your control and on a 6 foot leash.
