*The event has already taken place on this date: Sat, 04/20/2024
Introduction to a citizen science program for ages 10 through adult.

Please help us keep this calendar up to date! If this activity is sold out, canceled, or otherwise needs alteration, email mindy@kidsoutandabout.com so we can update it immediately. If you have a question about the activity itself, please contact the organization administrator listed below.

The City Nature Challenge is a global challenge and friendly competition between cities motivating people around the world to find and document plants and wildlife in their cities.  Learn how you can make observations and help the Triangle Area document what lives here as we compete against other cities around the world, and learn how scientists can use our nature observations for their research!  Come prepared ready for a hike with a camera or other device to take photos.  Downloading the iNaturalist app in advance is suggested but not necessary. Note: This is not a photography class.

Pre-registration is required.
