Academic Enrichment Programs

Early Years leads efforts to strengthen accessible and affordable high-quality early care and education by providing support for families, communities and the workforce.

The After School program in grades 1 - 8 offers play and activities from 3:00-5:45 pm Monday through Friday. Registration is required. Students enjoy free time on the playground, indoor games, cooking, drawing, and crafts.

We offer live and interactive online classes of chess, piano, Rubik's Cube, guitar, mathematics, abacus, public speaking, creative writing, yoga, Python programming, Scratch coding, physics, chemistry, and language classes (Spanish, German, French)

Our classes are designed to inspire and empower participants to explore the world of cooking, master new techniques, and create mouthwatering dishes at all ages! Complete with fun themes and passionate instructors, our diverse range of classes offers something for everyone.

A wide variety of youth and adult extracurricular lessons and activities.

Language-based through literacy enrichment virtual children's bilingual book membership curriculum. Every month your child will receive a bilingual story read in 2 languages with target activities that support reading, writing, listening & speaking

Tutoring sessions are one hour. They are provided after school from 5-8pm to ensure we can reach students who ride the bus, participate in sports, or engage in after school activities. All tutoring is provided via Zoom.

Providence Farm is excited to offer Explorations on The Farm, a semester of interconnected learning experiences that will find learners in the fields and farmhouse kitchen, gardens, workshops, studio and library; in the barn and among the animals, walking where the wild things live. Activities will build upon science, math, and humanities lessons, while incorporating skill building such as cooking, growing food, stewarding resources (eg water and soil) and so much more.

Nature classes offered

All virtual classes cover pronunciation, vocabulary, new phrases, practical grammar, and culture through activities, videos, games, songs and other fun presentation elements.

We offer horse lessons Monday - Saturday, and After School on the Chapel Hill Carrboro-City School system calendar. On Saturdays we offer farm visits, horse and pony rides and birthday parties. During the summer we offer additional specialty classes.
